Hitler

Learning about Hitler this week I found myself asking why he did not leave military operations to people who knew what they were doing. I know he did not trust people, but his decisions are so bad that his military commanders could not have done a whole lot worse. I was wonderingwhat others thought about this.

Hitler was obviously egotistical and would not allow others to help him make decisions. He wanted to always be in charge because this offered little chance for his power to slip into someone else's hands. Hitler was foolish to the point of blindness. He didn't understant that controlling everything would hurt more than help him.

I agree but i feel whenever Hitler seen something go wrong he thought he knew the right thing. He did have military background but i think his major downfall was he thought he new more than he did. Germany would have been better off if the commanders ran the army.

I agree that Hitler definitely must have thought that he knew more than he actually did. He can certainly be categorized as a megalomaniac. There is always someone or some circumstance on which you can place blame, rather than on yourself.
